Retail Design Expo 2016

26-07-2016

Now in its second year, Retail Design Expo took place on 9th to the 10th March and saw more than 16,000 industry professionals assemble at London’s Olympia. This is one of the biggest gatherings of the year in the Retail Design, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Architecture and Shop-fitting sector and was co-located with RBTE and the newly launched Retail Digital Signage Expo. The two day extravaganza consisted of a full diary of events including a number of conferences, seminars and workshops, with a wealth of international key speakers, including Liz Silvester, Head of Visual Identity at Liberty. It was also a time for celebration and our congratulations go out to Venus and Sammie Shaw who won the Retail Design Student Awards, with the brief provided from both TopShop and Speedo. The winners of the VM Student Awards, (supporting new talent in the field of visual merchandising), went to Kelly Wong, Gabriella Gerardi, Farida Alaulaqui and Daria Rodionova. The Awards didn’t stop there; the Innovation Trail & Awards, sponsored by design agency 20.20, highlighted 18 innovations that could drive future changes to industry and businesses. The shortlisted innovations were on display in a dedicated showcase area located on the 1st Floor Gallery. With a Designer Pavilion showcasing the innovations from UK design consultancies and architects, along with a Champagne Bar, the show was inspiring and engaging for large companies and niche suppliers alike. We took the opportunity to celebrate our 10th Anniversary and showcase our achievements since the start of the company in 2005. We have come a long way and now with a range of over 40,000 products available to purchase, including Mannequins, Hangers, Shop Fittings, Store and Shop Supplies and an array of bespoke products and services, we are proud to say we are continuing to go from strength to strength. And there is still so much for the company to accomplish together to continue to make The Retail Factory the leading UK supplier, offering a service like no other. We continue to use our strengths to recognise customer needs and repeatedly attempt to not only meet their expectations, but exceed them. This wouldn’t be possible without our growing customer base and Jon, Jo-Dee and all the team would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the last 10 years.
