About Us
GIE IT LALDY was established in 2011 by Lisa, a Glaswegian artist with a passion for the banter. Our signature style fuses strong typography with our sweet take on modern Scottish life and culture.
Our early DESIGNS are inspired by my greatly missed Grandmother (mistress of the Glesga patter) and more recently, our on-going dialogue and interaction with our customers, injecting an extra dunt of irreverent wit and topical black humour.
We encourage the celebration of the Scots language, engaging those who don’t necessarily see themselves as Scots speakers and love to hear your comments and feedback - so c'mon JOIN IN and geez yer patter!
OBSERVE. Our visual dialogue with Glasgow and Scotland is portrayed on social media utilising Instagram as a platform to explore the city’s urban landscape and culture and through our blog, ‘Things You Mainly See in Scotland’, where we document casual observations of life in Scotland today.
MON IN! We are an actual patter merchants and have a wee Gift Shop doon the Crow Road in Glasgow. We always have hunners o' exclusive gifts unavailable elsewhere and can often print mugs whilst you wait or grab a quick can of Irn Bru. Opening hours can be found the home page.
