Munsell Neutral Value Scale - Matte

The Munsell Neutral Value Scale Matte can be used for instrumental calibration, imaging testing or as a reflection standard. A frequent use is to decide the correct level of neutral grey paint for use in rooms where colour assessment takes place or in rooms for photography, imaging or indeed in cinemas to provide a background colour which does not distract the eye from the screen or the product, the Matte scale is most often used for these uses.
