Type 550 Catnic Komm pivot shoe for sliding sash balance. These shoes are mainly used with Type F and Type K balances. A pivot shoe works in tandem with a pivot bar, and it connects the sash to the balances. The protruding part of the pivot bar fits into the slot of the pivot shoe. The balance connects via the slots on the top of the pivot shoe. Once connected, this allows a sash window to slide up and down.
