Digital Vernier Calipers with a measuring range of 0-150mm. They can be used for taking internal and external measurements, in millimetres (metric). Digital calipers are an accurate way of taking precise measurements. They work by placing the object between the set of jaws that move along a sliding scale. When the plates on the jaw align / mis-align this in turn changes the electrical charge (capacitance) between the plates. A signal is sent to a microchip fitted inside the caliper, which then shows the reading on the LCD display screen.
