PPL Site Drainage Surveys

The Andel-PPL drain survey report can be tailored to suit client’s requirements as well as budget. Where possible the report will identify which drain performs which function and the route of each drain will be traced and mapped onto a site plan. On larger and older sites where no plans are available it will be time consuming and difficult to trace and identify every drain and its ultimate discharge/connection point.When budgets are limited, PPL can help clients prioritise the work to areas at higher risk but, under all circumstances, when the drainage system is reported and mapped the records will be kept by PPL for the client to have access to at any time.The report will detail any evident problems and will recommend cleaning or any other actions needed as required.The survey will include the following:· General information, Gullies and manholes connection.· Levels & sizes of the interconnecting pipe work.· Details of surface/foul water discharges to public combined sewers.· Invert levels of the public sewers and where they leave the site.To carry out the above, the survey will include:· Lifting all manhole covers and access to inspect chambers.· Identify the location of foul, surface water and combined sewers and drains.· Identify chamber locations and give them unique numbers; also highlighting them on a suitable drainage plan.· Each manhole will have a completed survey sheet. · Dye test. · CCTV survey when necessary.Upon completion the following will be provided:· Updated drawings showing manholes, chambers and gullies with unique reference numbers in paper and electronic formats.· Photographs of the chambers with any defects or damages in paper and electronic format.· A completed manhole survey sheets for each chamber.
